Mahindra Thar Accessories List Leaked Ahead Of Launch

Mahindra will offer a host of cosmetic as well as utilitarian accessories for the Thar

• Exterior style pack features accessories like headlamp and tail lamp appliques. 

• Other exterior accessories include rim protector, sun visor and body cladding. 

• On the inside, you can have accessories like magnetic sunshade and steering wheel cover. 

• The Thar will be available in three variants: AX, AX Opt and LX. 

• The Mahindra Thar will go on sale on October 2

Mahindra is all set to launch the second-gen Thar in India. While the launch is still a few weeks away, the carmaker has revealed most of the details of the upcoming SUV except for the prices and accessory list. Now thanks to a leak, we’ve got our hands on the official list of accessories that will be available on the Thar, so let’s take a look. 

Let’s start with the exterior accessories. Mahindra will offer an Exterior Style pack for the Thar which includes front bumper cladding, front bumper air damper, appliques for headlamps, tail lamps, ORVMs, shoulder line and wheel arch cladding. Other exterior accessories on offer are:

• 18-inch wheel ring protector

• Side body decals

• Chrome and black colour appliques for headlamps

• Front bug deflector

• Door visor with chrome insert

• LX’s variants 18-inch alloy wheels for AX 

• Side door cladding

• Plastic foot step

• Full body cover

• Half body cover

• Front and rear mud flap set

• LED DRLs (for AX and AX Opt)

Interior accessories: 

• Magnetic sunshade for windows

• Seat covers

• Floor mats

• Steering wheel cover

• Scuff plates

• Full floor lamination mat (upgrade for AX variant)

• Remote key (upgrade for AX variant)

• Parking camera

Music system accessories:

• LX variant’s roof speaker mounting kit for AX 

• Vibe branded speakers with amplifier and subwoofer upgrade (all variants)

So this is the list of accessories that will be available on the upcoming Mahindra Thar. Now, let’s take a quick look at what we know about the SUV so far: 

• It will be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options with manual and automatic transmission.  

• 4WD will be offered as standard with mechanically locking differential.

• Features on offer include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electric AC, LED DRLs, keyless entry, manual day/night IRVM, tilt-adjustable steering, tyre pressure monitoring system, cruise control and height-adjustable driver’s seat.

• Standard safety features on offer include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors along with ESP and roll-over mitigation limited to the top-spec LX variant.

• Prices of the Mahindra Thar are expected to range from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 13 lakh.

• It will take on the likes of the upcoming Force Gurkha and the Maruti Jimny along with similarly priced compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
