Mahindra To Maintain 'No Production' For Seven Days a Month

To mend the gap between manufacturing and retailing, the homegrown automaker Mahindra and Mahindra at some of its plants, will now observe upto 7 days in a month as ‘No Production Days’ till March 2015.
Mahindra & Mahindra in a filing to BSE said, “The company as part of its efforts to align its production with sales requirements, may observe on a need basis, 1 to 7 days in a month as 'No Production Days' at some of its automotive and/or tractor plants and /or Chakan plant of its wholly owned subsidiary Mahindra Vehicle Manufacturers Ltd during the period up to March, 2015."
It further added that the management does not envisage any adverse impact on the availability of products in the market due to adequacy of stocks to serve the market requirements.
In the last month of November, the automaker sold 13,765 units as compared to 16,771 units during November 2013. While the domestic sales stood at 32,100 units during November 2014, as against 36,261 units during November 2013.

Mahindra is offering benefits which includes cash discount, exchange bonus, loyalty bonus and corporate discounts as well.
