With the festive season beginning, carmakers are coming up with limited editions, special editions, facelifts and all-new models of their cars. To present buyers with a flurry of choices, Mahindra & Mahindra has also jumped in with the introduction of a new dual tone colour scheme of its sub 4-metre SUV, the TUV 300.
Speaking of the new exterior shade, it will be a combination of a silver body shell and black roof, blackened side pillars and dual tone front and rear bumpers. It will be introduced on the T8 101PS manual variant. In order to increase its appeal among urban buyers, Mahindra has chosen the dual tone colour scheme, which will be an addition to its existing seven shades, namely Verve Blue, Dynamite Red, Molten Orange, Glacier White, Majestic Silver, Bold Black and Bronze Green.
Commenting on the introduction of the new two tone colour scheme, Vivek Nayer, chief marketing officer - Automotive Division, M&M, said, “The launch of the new silver & black dual tone TUV300 will build on its aspiration quotient by dialling up on style and exclusivity, and thus further enhance the brand’s appeal. We are confident that this new colour scheme will soon become very popular among our discerning customers and fans.”
With respect to prices, the new shade calls for a hike in price by Rs 15,000 on the standard TUV300 T8 101PS version, which presently costs Rs 9.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Buyers looking to give a dual tone treatment to their entry and mid-level versions of the TUV300 can also get it done via Mahindra Genuine Accessories.
Will the new shade help Mahindra squeeze some numbers for the tank-inspired machine? Well, for that, we’ll have to wait and watch.
