Mahindra and Mahindra unveiled the much awaited Mahindra XUV 500 SUV today in Pune, Mahindra XUV 500 price, specifications will be revealed tomorrow in Pune. Mahindra will roll out the 4x2 version for now and also envisages introducing the Mahindra XUV 500 in the 4x4 version soon. With the much competitive price tag, the Mahindra XUV 500 will take upon the rivals such as Tata Aria and Tata Merlin.Mahindra XUV 500 will replace Scorpio as the company's new flagship, loaded with new and distinctive features, the new car has an upmarket air which makes it conspicuous.

As for the Mahindra XUV 500 review, the SUV is offered based on the monocoque design for the first time ever. The monocoque design is an age-old technique, which had been adapted by many auto mobile manufacturers in the past. The monocoque design offers the car with a well integrated car body built on the chassis of the car to appear as a single piece. Apart from India, the new XUV 500 will also be launched in the South African market. The SUV is likely to be exported to the other emerging markets including China. In a step to create a hype around the launch, the Vice-Chairman and MD of Mahindra and Mahindra, Anand Mahindra had launched a gaming concept called 'Guess the Date' in his personal twitter page.

It was on the social networking sites, where the launch date was officially announced. Apart from the interesting contest, a questionnaire comprising of four questions was also posted, where the contestants are required to answer, to avail the opportunity to win the brand new Mahindra XUV 500. The other attractive prizes include 10 free tickets for the upcoming Indian Grand Prix Formula 1 race. The Mahindra XUV is speculated to be powered with a 2.2 L CRDe diesel engine under the hood to generate a peak power of 140 Bhp and a peak torque of 326 Nm.
