Tata Motors in a step to ensure the success of its flagship model Tata Aria, had introduced the 4x2 version two months ahead of the Tata Aria 4x4 variant. Looks like Mahindra and Mahindra has taken the right decision to increase the sales volumes for the upcoming launch of Mahindra XUV500 in just the 4x2 variant. Another interesting part is, Mahindra XUV500 is the first ever model from the Mahindra's stable to adorn the monocoque body structure. The Mahindra XUV500 is going to be launched simultaneously in India as well as South Africa, apart from the exports to the other emerging markets as well.
The Mahindra XUV500 SUV is expected to come with a 2.2 L CRDe engine to produce a peak power output of 140 Bhp and a top torque of 326 Nm. The SUV is said to come with well-designed exteriors to take it to the next level from the rest of the Mahindra models. The other models from Mahindra's stable are Mahindra Bolero, Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Xylo, Mahindra Thar and Mahindra Verito.
