Maindra cut down Scorpio price up to 70,000

Mahindra group the largest SUV seller in india has announced a price cut of around Rs 34,000 to Rs 70,000 for Mahindra Scorpio. According to Mr. Goneca told news paper ET. The move will narrow the price difference between Mahindra Scorpio and Mahindra Xylo, M&M’s recently-launched multi-utility vehicle, thereby reducing the cannibalisation between the two products, he added. The Mahindra Scorpio range is now available at Rs 7.21 lakh to Rs 9.2 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi ) and Xylo is priced between Rs 6.35 lakh and Rs 7.84 lakh.

Mahindra group has a market share of around 55% of Indian Utility vehicle market. The SUV which are available under Mahindra tag are Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Xylo and Mahindra Bolero. Company is aiming to achieve a growth of 8-10% in this fiscal. The company has sold around 84000 units of utility vehicles in this financial year while the figure was 85000 for same period of last fiscal.
