For those who are planning to buy Maruti S-Cross, here is some news. Suzuki will be rolling out an SX4 S-Cross facelift in the international markets soon. Images of this car have surfaced on the internet. These images shows both interiors and exteriors of the car and were originated from a dealer presentation in France.
The new car has noticeable changes at the front profile. The grille now features vertical slats and the headlamp cluster is also reworked. The bonnet has stronger shoulder lines and the fog lamps find themselves in new housing in the all new bumper. Inside, the car features an updated, yet similar instrument cluster and a 2-tone dashboard layout. When and if this update will come to the Indian market is still unclear, but Maruti could introduce the facelift in India to pump up the sales of their ‘premium crossover’. Engine option in this facelift have not yet been disclosed. Speculations are that the car might end up having a BoosterJet engine from Suzuki’s latest lineup.
In a similar attempt, Maruti in January slashed the prices of S-Cross by upto Rs. 2 lac. This resulted in the top end DDiS 320 Alpha variant, which earlier costed Rs 13.74 lac (ex-showroom Delhi), to be available at only Rs. 11.69 lac. The entire DDiS320 engine range faced similar Rs 2.05 lac price drop. The DDiS200 engine range also faced a price drop of anywhere from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 66,000.
