Maruti Suzuki has recently announced to launch the all new Alto 800 in the Algerian market during the 2013 Algerian Motor Show in March. MSI that launched the new Alto 800 in India in the month of October is already a huge success for the company in the country, despite the slow down in the market, over 25,000 Altos every month are being sold in India.
The Algerian version of the Alto is likely to have the similar 796cc petrol mill used in the Indian version, which churns out the maximum power output of 48bhp and 67Nm of torque. The new Alto 800 has got a little more spacious than the earlier version of Alto, in fact the fuel efficiency of the new version too has been improved by 15 per cent. The company that sells the CNG version in India might not be launched in Algeria.
MSI which has been selling the brand Alto for over 10 years has now completely revamped its design both inside and out, helping it look modern and attractive, however the platform and the engine options have been kept the same. As mentioned above, dimension wise the car has got bigger, it now has more head, leg and shoulder room.
