Despite Maruti Suzuki India's 14 day employee stand-off, the production at the factory of its best-selling model Maruti Swift reached 500 units on Monday. The production is said to have reached the normal levels, in spite of the employees' protest on Monday to seek the help of the district authorities to bring an end to the agitation. Maruti India envisage ramping up the production of Maruti Swift to 18,000 units a month to meet the demand of 90,000 bookings of the popular hatchback and to ensure its delivery on time.
