Maruti to complete its group of professionals

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL), India's largest automobile manufacturer is all set to launch its first 'Made in India' car by year 2012. According to reports company is hunting for 30 more automotive engineers and designers to complete its existing pool of 970 professionals who are specially selected for the manufacturing of its new small car at its Gurgaon plant in India.
In year 2005 company had decided to create a group of engineering and designing professionals for its research & development segment by year 2010. According to company's strategy these professionals will work for its R&D department to establish Maruti as a manufacturing hub in the ASEAN reason. According to SY Siddiqui, managing executive officer Administration, HR Finance and IT, the company is also planning to hire 200 professionals in next fiscal to enhance its group of professionals to 1200.
Further elaborating about the hiring of the engineering professionals Mr Siddiqui added that a separate HR team has been appointed to support this group of professionals to assist this aggressive plan of the company so that these professional can work for Maruti's new products for Indian market and Suzuki's future global projects simultaneously. Where the R&D department of the MSIL will work for Indian and ASEAN region, the R&D of Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) will work Japan, US and Europe market.
