The last financial year (FY) was no different, with all compact and midsize hatchbacks seeing a decline in sales figures, with the Tata Tiago witnessing the highest dip. All is not lost for this segment, as the Maruti Wagon R, which did see a decline in FY 2025, was still the best-selling car in India.
