Maruti's January vehicle sales rise 5.4%

Maruti Suzuki, biggest car maker in India, has reported 5.4% rise in the January vehicle sales with 71,779 units as against 68,107 units during January 2008. Maruti's domestic sales rose by 5.6 per cent to 67,005 units during the concerned month up from 63,459 units while Exports to overseas rose to 4,774 units from 4,648 units during Januray 2008, a rise of 2.7 per cent. Suzuki, leading company of Japan, shares 54.2 per cent of Maruti Suzuki.
