Currently, the Indian Auto Market is under the awe of BMW’s amplifying success in the luxury car segment and it has set Mercedes Benz India in motion that to come up with some products that will help this German firm to beat the dominance of BMW. If rumors are to be believed Mercedes Benz India is all set and geared up to launch Mercedes Benz GLK compact SUV in the country soon. It is expected that Mercedes Benz GLK will give direct competition to BMW X1. However, Mercedes already has Mercedes Benz M class sports utility vehicle, which is in tough competition to BMW X5.

The new Mercedes Benz GLK SUV is a compact SUV, which is also said to give a tough fight to BMW X3 and is expected to be launched in India very soon. The major problem is that Mercedes Benz GLK SUV is currently only available with a left hand drive. However, it is rumored the new model of this compact SUV will be accessible for both the markets and the right hand drive version is also in the pipeline.

On the other hand, the manufacturing of the brand new model is in the final stages now. The testing procedure is going on. Also the Mercedes Benz GLK 2013 has been given a facelift. The makeover includes fresh and new headlights accompanied with daytime LEDs along with some fixes in the interiors. As per the news, even BMW is planning to give BMW X3 a makeover, which will act as comeback. It is expected the new and enhanced BMW X3 will be launched by the end of 2011. As per BMW, the firm is pretty confident that this SUV will be one of the best ones in the market and will come with absolutely new fuel efficient motors.
