Mercedes Benz is extending its chain of SUVs with a new BMW X6 rivaling model called the Mercedes Benz GLS. It is scheduled to be launched in 2014. This new four seater SUV has the same characteristic features that are attributed to third-generation Mercedes Benz M Class. As per the recent sales statistics there is a huge potential for an off-road model with a more sporting emphasis than the new Mercedes M-class models. It is expected that the GLS will forfeit the practicality of the five-seater M-class for a more sporting four-seater interior, with a racier roof lin and styling cues from the CLS saloon.
