Mercedes Registers Record Sales Growth of 32% in 2015

Mercedes Benz 15 in 15’ strategy has brought great success for the carmaker. The German company recorded 32% growth in sales for 2015. The greatest achievement was the number of units (13,502) which company was able to sell. It has been the highest ever since its venture in India during the calendar year.
"Our unsurpassed product drive and the network expansion, supported by our comprehensive service and financial programmes, catapulted our growth despite unfavourable market conditions and a slowing economy," said Roland Folger, Mercedes-Benz India CEO & Managing Director. He added that the company witnessed such a strong growth despite unexpected challenges on the sales front faced in the key markets of Chennai and Delhi.
"Our efforts are not just limited to sales success or creating a memorable customer experience, but over the years, we have strived to create value to the society and work towards its sustainable development at large," Mr. Folger said. He placed his faith in the the success achieved by the company in the year 2015 and said confidence behind 2015 success and said that it will motivate them to work harder in 2016. "This gives us confidence that 2016 will be an exciting year in many ways... We are confident of sustaining the current growth momentum, however, with stable policies and reforms in place."
Mercedes is to launch GLE Coupe tomorrow. Mr. Folger gave details about the automaker’s plans for 2016 and said, "The winning initiatives of Mercedes-Benz in 2016 will comprise the introduction of 12 fascinating new products, some of which without any predecessor in India. Mercedes-Benz will also inaugurate 10 new outlets across existing and new markets."
