The sixth generation SL Class was launched in 2012 and had received heavy criticism due to not meeting the standards of its forerunners. But now the roadster is on its way for the re-launch in the year 2017. The facelift has been snapped testing recently in one of the German facilities. Though the car was heavily disguised but the snapper managed to catch a glimpse of its exteriors and interiors.
The spied image signifies the early arrival of this two-seater convertible. The front end seems to be hiding a lot of mysteries suggesting revamped grille, slimmer headlights, refreshed bumper as well as a new bonnet. The rear profile also seems to be going under the knife with new bumper, tail lights and exhaust outlet.
Inside is something that would increase our interest but engineers tried their level best to hide them from prying eyes. Major parts of the dash seen still under wraps but the spied image hints towards a newer and bigger touchscreen infotainment system, re-modeled instrument cluster at the center console while a new steering wheel would also replace the current one.
There is no word on the mechanics under the hood, but the 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 in AMG GT is expected to substitute the ongoing 5.5 liter engine.
