Unable to contain itself BMW India was right on its toes to explode the good news with their Mini sales in India. It is not even a week since BMW has launched the four new cars from the Mini range of globally offered passenger cars and has already managed to garner 100 units of bookings already. The figure is stupendous when compared to the sales of its rivals in the segment, the Volkswagen Beetle which is the closest at Rs 21 lakh, sold around 59 units in the April-December period of the current fiscal 2011-2012.
The Fiat 500 which sells at Rs 14 lakh is far out even before the competition ever began. The British iconic brand has worked wonders with its ultimate brand value which has left the parent BMW tension gripped as it is already booked out for half the models meant for the entire year. However, the potential owners will have to wait longer as the premium car models will not be delivered anytime before April. Apparently, the Mini Crossover and Mini convertible were responsible for maximum sales which ironically are the maximum priced models in the Mini range sitting on the right extreme corner of the Rs 25 lakh-Rs 32 lakh BMW Mini price range.

While the BMW Mini Cooper and Cooper S hatchbacks are prized possessions of the owners with its unique built form and exquisite design lines, the Mini Cooper convertible and Mini Cooper Countryman S bring innovativeness to next level, especially for Indian carmarket despite its age-old presence . The years of presence of the Mini range have only added up to its antique value combined with the newness of the crossover sitting high on the road as compared to the rest of the Mini range of cars.
