M&M sales grow 41% in July

The Indian car maker, Mahindra and Mahindra has reportedly witnessed the highest monthly car sales in July 2011. It registered the sales of around 39,633 units, which is 41.30% hike since the July 2010.

In July 2010, Mahindra and Mahindra sold around 28,049 units. M&M July sales show a hike of 41.90%, by selling 37,323 units, which is comparatively much higher than 26,303 units in July 2010. Cars like Mahindra Xylo, Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Verito and Mahindra Bolero altogether account for 34.99% of the total Mahindra sales in July (17,312 units).

The Mahindra Verito sales also went up to touch 1,630 units in July 2011, which is quite more than what it sold in July 2010 (752 units). As per Mr. Rajesh Jejurikar, the chief executive of automotive division of Mahindra & Mahindra the firm is extremely happy, that the sales saw a growth of 41% in July 2011 and this is the highest sales recorded by M&M so far. Luckily, all their car brands are doing well and even Mahindra Verito has managed to do a good business in the Indian Auto Market.

Since past few months, car sales in India have been low and with Mahindra & Mahindra recording its highest sales gives a new hope to the Indian Auto Market. However, on the other hand, Mahindra and Mahindra three wheelers and mini truck sales fell in July from 5418 units to 5395 units. Nonetheless, Mahindra and Mahindra commercial vehicle business including the four wheelers rose by 91.01% in July 2011 to 13,472 units, which were 7,053 units in July 2010. Even the light commercial vehicle sales in July 2011 rose by 13.06% from 1007 units to 1144 units. The exports of Mahindra & Mahindra have also gone up by 32.20% from 1,746 units in July 2010 to 2,310 units in July 2011.
