M&M to offer Mahindra Scorpios as support cars at Indian Grand Prix

Mahindra and Mahindra is one of the most prominent and eminent auto makers in India. Now Mahindra and Mahindra is planning to provide its powerful vehicle Mahindra Scorpio during the opening of the Indian Grand Prix as support vehicles. M&M has signed a 5 year contract with the BIC (Buddh International Circuit) to make available intervention vehicles for all the motorsports proceedings to happen at the facility located in Greater Noida.

According to the contract signed, M&M will make around 25 Mahindra Scorpios available, which would comprise of 15 Mahindra Scorpio Gateway and 10 Mahindra Scorpio VLX. These cars will be used in 30th October race. In return, BIX will assist Mahindra and Mahindra in advertising their Adventure projects, such as the Monastery Escape, the Great Escape etc.

As per the senior VP of Marketing Automotive section of M&M, Mr. Vivek Nayar, the firm is proud and honored to be allied with BIC. The main aim of Mahindra Scorpios will be to rescue, salvage and support race cars in urgent situations. He also mentioned that it would be surely a history being written that one will be seeing motorsport in India accompanied with F1.

Mr. Nayar also mentioned that the firm hasn’t made any kind of mechanical changes in Mahindra Scorpio for the Indian Grand Prix, but however, it has modified the SUVs a little, which would help the vehicle to brawl fire. When inquired about the owning of MotoGP, Mr. Nayar dodged the question. This association of M&M with Indian Grand Prix will surely help the firm to boost up its sales more.
