Defying the on-going slowdown, global carmakers are betting big on the Indian automobile market, with a slew of launches lined up for the remaining months of 2014. Here, Cardekho enlists some of the most awaited products headed our way in the coming months. While this list provides details of all the forthcoming New products and Facelifts, but we haven't considered the special editions and variant introductions to avoid confusion and to keep the list short & crisp.

Honda Mobilio

Honda Mobilio

The Honda Mobilio is arguably the most waited launch of the year. Based on an extended version of the Brio and Amaze platform, the MPV is slated to arrive in the month of July. To be available in both petrol and diesel avatars, the Mobilio will be the third diesel model from the Japanese manufacturer after Amaze and the City, all powered by the same 100ps-1.5-litre I-DTEC motor. Audi A3

Audi A3

The most affordable Audi till date, the A3, is expected to hit the Indian roads in a month or two. The over-all design of the A3 is very much similar to what we've already seen on its elder siblings of the brand's 'A' family. To keep the price point competitive, A3 will follow the Complete Knocked Down (CKD) route in India, and will be assembled at the Aurangabad facility in Maharashtra. To know more , click here

2014 Maruti Suzuki Swift

Maruti Suzuki Swift

Despite of being the second best seller of the last month, MS Swift is ready for a minor refreshment. It’s just a facelift to the current model, so, the over-all design remains identical to the current one, with some mild changes inside-out. However, the prime and the most noticeable revision comes in the form of daytime running lights (DRLs) right below the fog lamps. With no official words from Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), the vehicle is expected to arrive around this year’s festive season. To know more, click here 

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz

Pitched as a replacement for the not-so-successful SX4, Ciaz is another attempt from Maruti Suzuki in the C-segment, which has never been its forte. Inspired from Suzuki Authentics Concept, the Ciaz surely looks way premium when compared to what the auto major currently offers in the form of SX4. To be available in both petrol and diesel variants, it is expected that the 1.3litre multi-jet diesel motor will be retained from the SX4, while the petrol variants will be powered by the Ertiga's 1.4 K-series engine. Tata Zest and Bolt

Home grown auto major Tata Motors is also gearing up to launch its new family of cars, that includes 'Bolt' hatchback and 'Zest' sedan. These cars will possibly revive Tata's brand image from the old fashioned designers to contemporary and more upmarket ones. The homegrown automaker is very confident (and why not they have done all the hard work) about the new products and expect Bolt and Zest to redefine their respective segments once they are launched. They will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options, the twins are most likely to feature same mill under their hoods. The petrol variants will come with a 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged intercolled MPFi engine, whereas the diesel trim will be powered by the Fiat's 1.3 multi-jet diesel unit.

Volkswagen Polo Facelift

Volkswagen Polo Facelift

Volkswagen's successful hatchback- Polo is another product which will be coming very soon to our roads in a refreshed avatar. The facelifted Polo will feature a revised grille, new bumper and few minor tweaks and will also offer a new exterior color option. The interiors will also get few upgrades such as new steering wheel and a silver insert for the centre console. The biggest change comes in the form of a new 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that will also find its place under the hood of Vento facelift. While the petrol lineup which includes the 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated mill and the 1.2-litre TSI turbocharged motor. They are expected to be retained in the same state of tuning. Porsche Macan

Porsche Macan

Porsche, a part of Volkswagen group will be bringing Macan this month in India. The SUV will be positioned below the Cayenne as a sportier alternative to the likes of the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes ML Class. Based on the Audi Q5′s underpinnings, the Macan would be available in a petrol and a diesel engine. The base variants will be powered by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel motor that develops 258 horses of power and 580 Nm of peak torque, while the top-end 3.6-litre V6 is capable of 400 hp and maximum torque of 500 Nm. Datsun Go+

Datsun Go+
Datsun Go+ is a sub-4 metre MPV based on the same platform as its younger sibling Go. To be launched around forthcoming festive season, the GO+ MPV will be powered by the same 1.2 liter powerplant that pulls the hatch, mated to 5-speed manual gearbox. The MPV will be offered in four variants – 'D', 'A', 'T', 'T+' and will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. To know more, click here
