Multi-brand car servicing business by ex-Maruti chief

After giving the required shape to Maruti Suzuki, its ex-chief Jagdish Khattar reshaping his own carrier. Khattar launched Carnation Auto on Wednesday. Khattar, the CMD of the firm, intended to earn Rs 75 crore in its first year with 30 car service centres. Initially the firm has nine centres across India that is to be expanded to 100 by 2011. The car servicing company has planned to invest Rs 300 crore by the next two years. Khattar said that Carnation Auto will soon launch its used car business. A pilot project is on for the same. Mr Khattar had earlier raised Rs 108 crore from investors PremjiInvest and IFCI Ventures for the new venture.
