Maruti Suzuki India has recently launched the facelift version of SX4 sedan in the Indian auto industry. The car was originally launched in 2007 but it is not as successful as other Maruti cars in India. The increasing options in its segment and not so appealing looks of the car are the major reasons behind its failure. Now the company is aiming to launch the all new SX4 in India by the end of this year.

At the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the company has showcased the SX4 crossover and bagged good response from visitors. The Indian SX4 was based on the Legendary European hatch and it is expected that the new Indian bound SX4 will be based on the same platform. We are expecting that the all new SX4 will be larger than the current SX4, and will come with an all-new cabin equipped with advanced and comfort features. The new SX4 will house the same 1.6-L petrol and 1.3L diesel engines, however company might tune these engines to provide more power and to make it more efficient as well.
The all new SX4 is likely to be launched in India and North America by the year end or early 2014. Similarly, Honda will also bring its all new City model with diesel powertrain and will compete against new SX4. However, Maruti has recently launched the facelift SX4, which might delays the company's plans of launching an all-new SX4 by the year end.
