New 2015 Audi Q7 Spied

In a tussle to grab the top spot in the luxury car segment, the three German luxury carmakers are aggressively working on their strategies for the global markets. All three are launching new products and facelifts to remain updated. Audi, too seems aggressive with its strategies, and is planning to update its entire lineup. The Q7 SUV is the company's one of the most successful vehicles, and the time has come to modify it. The next generation Audi Q7 has been spotted during its testing near the European beaches.

The new SUV will ride on Volkswagen's new MLB architecture, which will also be used to develop the Bentley crossover, Lamborghini Urus, next generation Touareg and Porsche Cayenne. This new platform will help the German luxury carmaker to reduce the weight of new Q7 by up to 363 kg.

The vehicle is expected to be launched by the end of 2014 or by early 2015. The next-generation Audi Q7 is expected to be offered with a wide range of engines. The vehicle will get a 3.0-litre V6 TFSI engine that is capable of developing 310bhp and a larger 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that develops 435bhp. The diesel version of the SUV is likely to get a V6 3.0-litre TDI engine that churns out 258bhp and a 4.2-litre V8 TDI engine developing 385bhp. It is also speculated that Audi is planning to launch a plug-in hybrid version, which will get a 3.0-litre TDI and an electric motor developing 115bhp.
