CarDekho has been constantly reporting you about the 2013 Audi Q5 facelift which was launched back in 2008 and has been doing superb for the company, in fact it is one of the key products of the company which has helped Audi to grab the no.2 position as a luxury car maker. The updated Audi Q5's 2.0-litre Petrol version now costs Rs. 43.16 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), which is about Rs 1.5 lakh higher than the outgoing version, but the next-generation car has a lot to offer you in return. The other two 2.0-litre diesel and 3.0-litre diesel versions cost Rs 43.47 and Rs 48.71 lakh respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Since the car was doing test runs in India for quite sometime, so we have had almost every detail about the changes the car would come up with, today at the launch, our claim were only proven to be right. The car has largely remained the same except some positive changes at the exterior including an upgraded hexagonal grille, new fog lamps, all new headlamps along with surround day time lamps and updated tail lamps and a new rear diffuser at the back.
Except the cosmetic changes at the exterior, the most significant change the Audi Q5 has received is the improved power output offered by the existing 3-litre V6 diesel engine. It now returns a slightly higher power output of 272bhp, which means improvement of 36bhp. The car has also been made available in two other engine options-2.0-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel.
Addressing to all the Audi fans out there on twitter, company's India head, Michael Perschke tweets, "Hey, Audi fans, I’m proud to announce - The new Audi Q5 is now available at your nearest Audi dealer for Rs. 43,16,000 (ex-showroom Delhi)."
