New BMW X3 expected to hit Indian shores this September

BMW India is apparently going to launch their new SUV BMW X3(codename-F25). As per the speculations  this new SUV by BMW India will not come in petrol versions but only in diesel version. BMW X3 launch in India is slated for the festive season.

The car is supposed to come in two variants namely the xDrive 20d a 2 L engine which would be able to produce a maximum power of 184 hp and a torque of 380Nm. The other variant would be equipped with xDrive 30d a 3L engine which might have the capacity of producing a maximum power of 258 hp and torque of 560 Nm. Both these models will be equipped with 4Wd (xDrive technology). The current model of the BMW X3 is available in both petrol and diesel versions and has a price of about 40-45 lakh INR.

This current version of the SUV was launched last year, but was not able to get good sales, the car was totally pushed behind by Audi Q5. BMW was able sell out just 2 cars in this year where Audi Q5 sales reached  70 units in the month of February and reached to 96 cars in the month of April.

Last year BMW also launched its premium SUV named BMW X1 which did a wonderful business in the market and is standing at the 3th position today on the maximum sales list.The company by launching this refreshed version of car would surely keep its price in mind, so that they could manage to have a sufficient number of sales this time.
