New Chevrolet Captiva to launch by 2011

Chevrolet Captiva might get a newer version soon, says industry sources. Chevrolet Captiva has been a popular SUV from General Motors and usually has a waiting period of 30 to 60 days post booking. Captiva, currently is imported as a completely built-in unit from the company's Korean manufacturing plant. The speculation has been doing its rounds since quite some time now and it seems to be sure to happen in the near future.

The newer version would bear  a number of cosmetic changes for the car including the bumper that would have a complete face-lift and the front grille that is assumed to have been inspired from the Infinity model of the company. Exteriors would see different side mirrors and newly designed head lamps. Along with the exteriors getting a makeover, the interiors would be modified too.

There are rumours on the engine front of the car that it would sport a 2.2L diesel engine, that would offer greater power and torque at higher speeds. The Belgium media reports that the car would launched in the international markets by the later half of 2010. The car would however launch in the Indian market by the year 2011.
