General Motors India has finally rolled out the Chevrolet Spark facelift, which is in discussion in public domain for quite sometime now. The car gets the facelift at a time when its closest competitor Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 gets an all new look. The new Spark gets a bunch of changes both inside and out; where at the outside, it gets new front and rear bumpers, roof rails, revised fog lamps and revamped head and tail lamps. The front fascia now gets the spilt-grille up front along with more aggressive lines.
While the interiors now gets a new double-tone finish with new seat fabric and a new double-DIN audio system with AUX-in and USB facility, however the body panels are still the same. Mechanically, the new Sparks remains the same as old, housing the 1.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, it churns out the maximum of 63bhp and peak torque of 90Nm. The Spark facelift has been made available in all variant.
So carrying all these changes, the facelifted Chevrolet Spark has certainly got better than before and will help the company do well during the festive seasons as the prices remain unchanged.
The company has also said to launch the much awaited Chevrolet Sail U-VA hatchback on 2nd November, which will be replacing the company's not-so-doing well Chevrolet Aveo U-VA.
