Cardekho has been constantly informing you about the upcoming new Hyundai i10, which is likely to be launched in India by the festive season (Dushera and Diwali) 2013. The next-generation Hyundai i10 is expected to sit between the current generation i10 and i20, and will come with diesel powertrain. More interestingly, the new i10 has been put on road test on Sweden roads, and its official unveiling to take place in September 2013, at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The car has been spotted numerous occasion doing test runs on the Indian roads. Now, we bring you the details of the next-generation Hyundai i10.
The new i10 will come equipped with a longer wheelbase, and a lower ride height, which results in a more space in the cabin, and the centre of gravity at a lower height provides better handling while driving. The legroom space is increased, which offers comfortable ride and steering mounted controls are added, which is missing in the current generation i10. The rear passenger space has also increased, which enhances the overall comfort.
However, the car was fully camouflaged, it is quite difficult to reveal the styling of dashboard and features on instrumental panel. No doubt, the all new i10 features a better quality interiors. The car comes with a larger front air dam, bigger grille, updated general lines, new fog lamps with LED stripe above making the front fascia aggressive.
The new Hyundai i10, which was put on road test, comes powered by the 1,250 cc four-cylinder petrol Kappa Series, which responds well even at low RPMs. For India, it is expected that the new i10 will be offered with a new 1.1-litre three cylinder turbo diesel engine. Moreover, a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine will also be offered along with the 1.2 Kappa engine.
