New Maruti Grand Vitara Prices Start At Rs 10.45 Lakh

Its strong-hybrid version offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 27.97kmpl

• The 2022 Grand Vitara is Maruti’s first strong-hybrid offering.

• It is priced from Rs 10.45 lakh to Rs 19.65 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India). 

• Strong-hybrid variants of compact SUV start from Rs 17.99 lakh. 

• Features panoramic sunroof, nine-inch touchscreen system, up to six airbags, hill hold/descent control, and a 360-degree camera. 

• Powered by 1.5-litre mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid petrol engines.  

• The mild-hybrid manual variant can be had with all-wheel drive (AWD). 

Maruti has launched the 2022 Grand Vitara in India, with prices starting from Rs 10.45 (all prices ex-showroom pan-India). It can be had in six trims with the top two reserved for the strong-hybrid powertrain. The full price list is as follows:

Maruti Grand Vitara Variant-wise Prices

Maruti is offering the hybrid variants with an inclusive special introductory package consisting of an extended warranty till five years or one lakh km (whichever is earlier) and a NEXA accessory pack. The combined benefits are valued at over Rs 67,000 and the SUV comes with a standard warranty of two years/40,000km.

The asking price of the Grand Vitara’s mild-hybrid variants range from Rs 10.45 lakh to Rs 17.05 lakh, while the strong-hybrid variants are priced between Rs 17.99 lakh and Rs 19.65 lakh (prices ex-showroom pan-India).

The strong-hybrid variants command a premium of Rs 2.6 lakh over their corresponding mild-hybrid variants. The AWD can be had with the mild-hybrid petrol-manual combination only and commands Rs 1.5 lakh over the regular Alpha MT. 

A Feature-packed Maruti

The flagship Maruti comes with a lot of premium features, including:

• Panoramic sunroof

• Nine-inch touchscreen system

• Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

• Head-up Display

• Wireless phone charger

• Front ventilated seats

• Paddle Shifters (only for the AT variants)

On the safety front, the Grand Vitara gets up to six airbags, ESP, hill-hold assist, hill descent control, a 360-degree camera and a tyre pressure monitoring system. 

What’s Powering It?

There’s no diesel engine on offer here while the strong-hybrid powertrain of the 2022 Grand Vitara comprises an electric motor delivering 80.2PS and 141Nm. There’s also a pure EV mode with the strong-hybrid.

The all-wheel-drive system can be had only with the mild-hybrid manual variant. The same powertrains are also available with the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, which is the same SUV underneath but is styled slightly differently.
