New Maruti Wagon R 2019 Launched, Price Starts At Rs 4.19 Lakh

- The WagonR is priced from Rs 4.19 lakh to Rs 5.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
- It is available with two petrol engine options: 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre.
- Both the engines are available with an AMT option.
- Maruti has confirmed no CNG option will be offered at launch.
Maruti has launched the much-awaited new third-gen Wagon R in India. It is available in three variants: L, V and Z, which are priced from Rs 4.19 lakh to Rs 5.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The third-gen WagonR is based on the new Heartect platform like the Baleno, Swift, Ertiga, Dzire and Ignis. As a result of which, it is lighter now, despite being longer and wider than its predecessor.

Unlike its predecessor, the new WagonR is available with two petrol engine options: a 1.0-litre three-cylinder motor and a 1.2-litre four-cylinder unit. While the 1.0-litre engine has been carried forward from its predecessor, the 1.2-litre unit is borrowed from other Maruti cars like the Ignis, Swift and the Baleno. As confirmed before, Maruti has not launched a CNG variant of the new WagonR.

On the features front, for safety, the WagonR gets driver airbag, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, rear parking sensors, central locking and high-speed alert system as standard. The co-passenger airbag and front seat belts with pre-tensioners and load limiters are available as standard on the top-spec Z variant and as optional on the L and V variants.
Other features on offer include, all four power windows, tilt adjustable steering, steering mounted controls, manual day/night IRVM, 60:40 split rear seats, manual AC, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, rear washer and wiper with defogger and fog lamps. For the first time, the WagonR is also equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The new WagonR renews its rivalry against the likes of the Datsun GO, Hyundai Santro and its stablemate, the Celerio.
