New Tata Nano to be launched by 2011

Tata Motors will come with more features to entice the buyers towards the wonder car, Tata Nano. Tata Motors, the creator of the “Peoples Car” observed that the sale of Tata Nano stumbled to 509 units in the month of November, 2010 and hence has planned to re-create the magic of India's smallest and cheapest car. For that the company will equip the car with new features such as five-speed gear box, power steering (to make driving more comfortable), adjustable seats and more. As per the experts from the industry, the new featured Tata Nano is likely to come in the first quarter of 2011. The new version car coming with five speed manual transmission will help in upgrading its fuel economy and better on long drives sessions at greater speed. If the grapevines are to be believed, the Indian auto makers will come with the diesel model of the car.

As per an executive from the Tata Motors, he said that, the company always strives to bring new and added features time and again. He further said without revealing the details that, with the right time further announcement will be made. The little wonder car, is affixed with 624 cubic centimetre petro powertrain which is available in three models. The base model of Tata Nano subtracts the air conditioning, the mid and high end variant comes with added features and also air-con. As expected, the new mini car will be dearer by 5 to 10 per cent compared with the present high end car model's price. Tata Nano starts with a price tag of Rs 1,15,361 to Rs 1,79,254 lakh (ex-showroom), New Delhi. But still, the mini car will be economical than its contemporaries such as Maruti Alto it comes with a price tag of Rs 2,29,149 to Rs 3,23,026 (ex-showroom), New Delhi. As per the experts from the auto industry, Tata Motors will do anything possible to re-establish Tata Nano in the Indian auto market.

As per a top executive from Tata Motors, he said that the dealers feedback is important for the company and on the basis of it, the company tries to improve on its car. As per the reports, the new model of Tata Nano is ready and the examining on the same is going on in Sanand, Gujarat at the Tata Nano facility. The new version of the small car will be better for high speed driving as well as with stylish interiors. Tata Nano launched in April, 2009 and by 2010 the manufacturing of the small car has almost stopped. There are various factors to it such as the accidents, increased price, unavailability of low interest rates and more. But now to again win over the Indian market the company will add safety features in its 70,000 models, also introduced the new offer of four year warranty and more.

    Its a great car, I have driven it myself. My current car for last 11 years has been Honda City (the real City, not the fake one that came later). My test ride on nano was fantastic, I could not believe that this small is such a performer and lovely to drive. I will anyway buy the new version or old within a month. I do not believe the smear campaign done by unworthy rivals, who can not deliver any thing good, but can sponsor some ugly campaigns...
