We have already seen several launches in the Indian festive season, and this week as well we inspected some more launches like Honda City CNG version, new Chevrolet Spark and Tata Nano Special edition. Then there have been some announcements made by automakers on their upcoming launches like Wedding editions of Rolls Royce Phantom and Ghost, Volvo V40 and Honda Car India's diesel line-up.

On the other hand, General Motors India released the teaser images of much awaited Chevrolet Sail U-VA ahead of its scheduled launch on 2nd November. We also brought you some exclusive informations on the Ford EcoSport that the Compact SUV will also come in automatic transmission unlike its closest competitors including the new Renault Duster. CarDekho got an opportunity to do an exclusive interview with Honda Car India's vice president, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen on their future strategies to increase the market share in India.

New Modified Honda City with CNG Launched at Rs 9.54 lakh

Honda City CNG which has been in the news for quite sometime now, finally launched this week at a starting price of Rs 9.54 lakh. It's not simply a CNG version of the existing vehicle, but a modified Honda City. The new modified Honda City will be available in V grade which will get retrofitted by a Honda approved CNG kit at all the 45 Honda dealerships located in 28 cities where CNG fuel option is available in the country. Rohan BRC has been appointed as the authorized dealer for providing the CNG kit. A buyer will have to pay an additional sum of Rs 50,200 over existing prices to get the CNG version.

Nissan Micra, Sunny to Get Costlier From November

Like most automakers in India hiked their car prices due to increase in input cost, Nissan India as well announced to hike the prices of its flagship cars; Nissan Micra and Nissan Sunny. Where the prices of Micra petrol and diesel variants will go up by up to Rs. 3,000 and 12,000 respectively, The sunny would cost Rs 5,000 higher. New Chevrolet Spark Launched at Rs 3.16 lakh

General Motors India finally launched the Chevrolet Spark Facelift, which was in discussion in public domain for quite a long time now. The new Spark now gets a bunch of changes both inside and out; while at the outside, it gets a new front fascia with split-grille up with more aggressive lines, rear bumper, roof rails, revised fog lamps, new head and tail lamps and some more. The interior gets a new double-tone finish with new seat fabric and a new double-DIN audio system with AUX-in and USB compatibility, however the body panels remains the same.

Tata Motors Launches Nano Special Edition

Tata Motors that has recently launched the all new Tata Safari Storme, Manza Club Class, Indica eV2 and the Aria LX, now launched the special edition Nano this week. Tata Nano Special Edition has been given the alloy wheels, a new audio system with USB, AUX and iPod connectivity features, two glove boxes on both side of the dash board, festive stickers on the C-pillar and body graphics on both side, helping it become a much better and more plush car than before.
