Despite slowdown, Nissan India maintained the sales momentum in India and continued to scale up their operations in line as per their long term strategic goals for the Indian auto industry. The company has also increased their dealership network to 95 in the past 12 months, in order to present Nissan brand closer to more and more people.

Both opened the manufacturing plant in Oragadam in Chennai way back in 2010 and first vehicle Micra was produced in 2011. The company has launched Fluence and Koleos in 2011, Pulse, Duster and Scala in 2012.
Mr. Nitish Tipnis, Director – Sales & Marketing, Hover Automotive India (the national Sales company for Nissan India) said that – the company is still growing despite market slowdown only because of their strong customer focus, which has allowed Nissan to keep its sales target consistent. He also added that Nissan will bring new and exciting products throughout the next year to meet the customer needs.
