Thanks to a brochure leak, details of the Nissan Kicks are now out, ahead of its launch on 22 Jan 2019. It will feature the same set of 1.5-litre diesel and petrol engines from the Nissan Terrano and the Renault Captur. Here’s what else the brochure reveals:

Will be available in four variants- XL, XV, XV Pre and the top-spec XV Pre Option.

Standard: The base XL variant will comprise of features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, manual day/night IRVM, speed sensing door locks and impact sensing unlock, rear defogger, projector headlamps (not LED) and parking sensors.

Convenience features on the base variant include electrically adjustable ORVMs, 6-way manually adjustable seats, front armrest, tilt-adjustable steering, all power windows with one-touch functionality and anti-pinch function, climate control, rear AC vent and two 12V power outlets.

The base variant also gets a 2-DIN audio system with MP3, AUX, Bluetooth, CD player complemented by front and rear speakers. Nissan Connect telematics is also a part of the standard equipment.

Top-spec XV Pre Option features 17-inch machine cut alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, cornering fog lamps, keyless entry, leather upholstery, push-button start/stop, auto headlamp, rain-sensing wiper, 360-degree parking camera, 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (available from the second variant onwards) and rear fog lamps.

Engine options include a 1.5-litre petrol (106PS/142Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel (110PS/240Nm), mated to a 5-speed and 6-speed manual transmission, respectively.

ARAI rated fuel efficiency stands at 14.23 kmpl for petrol and 20.45/19.39kmpl for the diesel, depending on the variant.

The Nissan Kicks will launch in India on 22 January 2019 and bookings for the SUV are already open for an amount of Rs 25,000. The Kicks will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and Renault Captur in India.
