Nissan Terrano more details out ; Seven variants

Few days back, Nissan India had unveiled the much-anticipated Terrano compact crossover based on the highly successful Renault Duster. The company has officially started taking pre-orders of the Terrano. The vehicle is all set to hit the Indian shores by the end of September or by early October, and is expected to be priced around Rs. 8.50 lakh for the entry level variant.
The Japanese automaker has revealed some features and details of the compact SUV. The Terrano SUV will be made available in seven different variants, however all models will be offered with manual transmission. Only single petrol variant- XL 1.6L will be available at the launch, and rest six will be diesel. The 1.6-litre trim gets ABS + EBD + BA, a music system, piano black centre console and front fog lamps.
The diesel engine (1.5-litre) will be available with two power outputs - 85PS and 110PS. The base variant XE has driver side airbag as standard along with front and rear power windows, and a multi-information display. The next trim XL 1.5L 85PS diesel gets ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brake distribution force) and BA (Brake Assist), 2-DIN audio, Piano black console and front fog lamps. The same XL variant is also available with 110PS diesel version, and gets a six-speed manual transmission instead of five-speed gearbox. The XL Plus 85PS variant sports a dual-airbags (driver + passenger) and has a 16-inch Machined alloy wheels.
The XV and XV Premium are two top models, featuring various advanced features. The Terrano XV trim features a reverse parking sensor, Rear AC with controls leather wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob. The top of the line XV Premium gets leather seats, zebra wood front, rear door armrest finish and door trim strip along with all the aforementioned such as ABS, EBD with BA, dual airbags, 16-inch alloy wheels and others.
