According to sources, the repeated growth in petrol prices is hitting hard on the common people wallet since it is amplifying the running cost of cars. People are either avoiding the daily use of car or opting for other options like CNG. With CNG kit available in market at a price tag of Rs 30,000, the option is quite feasible. Reports state that various Car Companies are planning to launch the diesel variants like Tata Nano Diesel, Toyota Etios Diesel and Chevrolet Beat Diesel. This is because people are opting for diesel cars even if they bear high cost compared to their petrol variants. As per survey, the cost of driving diesel car is less then what petrol cars are offering, however CNG still holds number one position with running cost of Rs 1.38 per kilometer run.
