Porsche has set its eyes to join the four-door bandwagon, based on market reports the company is going to spawn a new model christened as Porsche 960 on the MSB platform from Volkswagen that will underpin all the rear wheel drive based cars of the Porsche group. Porsche Coupe 960 codenamed ‘Ferrari Fighter’, is a super saloon powered by the twin-turbo flat-six churns out 600 HP power is generally a legacy of the 911 GT2 . Porsche calling the car as Ferrari seems out of place as Ferrari does not have a four-door vehicle in its portfolio, seems like the German maker actually aims to turn the heat on Ferrari FF.
MSB Platform is a flexible system, and can spawn out a wide range of high performing models like Volkswagen Bluesport, Porsche Sppedster, Audi R5 and possibly the next gen Porsche Cayman and Lamborghini Aventador heir. The engine can be fitted in anywhere in the front or at the rear end or all wheel-drive in accordance to the car it is being used for. Porsche 960 will arrive in the year 2015,will sit above Panamera in the Porsche car lineup. Porsche 960 will carry a sticker price of at least $328,800.
