Porsche is going to launch its new hybrid variants Cayenne by 2010 in Indian car market. The company is endorsing the eco-friendly models of its cars along with other sports car makers like Ferrari and Lamborghini. The other two sports car makers have also announced that they will also be launching the hybrid car models in the market. Porsche has already started working on its SUV model Cayenne to bring its hybrid variant in the market. The new models are expected in India by next year. After this, it will bring the eco-friendly model of its luxury sedan Panamera. The company is planning to develop a new engine that will deliver a fuel economy of 11 km/l on the Cayenne. This is an advancement of 25 percent of the current fuel efficiency of 6 km/l in city and 8.9 km/l on the highway.
