Amidst the sky high growth plans of Mahindra and Mahindra, the company is undergoing a major organisation re-shuffle. There are some key changes taking place within the company and Mr.Pravin Shah has been chosen to preside over the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position for the Automotive department of the Group. He is basically filling for Rajesh Jejurikar who is moving out of the company to an external firm Zee Networks. Shah has been with M&M for over 30 years driving extremely difficult projects in the company’s IT and Finance segment related to the Automotive and Farm equipment department.
The last position before this transition was in International operations where he served as a chief executive officer and will be replaced by Ruzbeh Irani from Corporate Strategy department. Shah’s move within the company plays an important part in the growth of the company behind the scenes, which we are not well aware of. Mahindra and Mahindra reached new heights especially in the past year riding high on the galloping horse showing huge deviation from its previous line-up with Mahindra XUV 500 and there on. Auto Expo 2012 was the platform where the auto major brought 27 odd vehicles for a display among which Mahindra Reva NXR, Mahindra Reva electric and the SsangYong products pushed it over the brink of success. The first product from SsangYong, Rexton SUV is slated for a launch in second half of 2012 and Korando E to see a 2013 launch.
