Range Rover Sport UK Pricing and Specifications Revealed

Land Rover UK has announced the pricing and specifications of its all-new Range Rover Sport. The car was showcased at the 2013 New York Auto Show, and has an aluminum Unibody design, which helps the company to reduce its weight up to 420kg. Land Rover Sport has been the fastest, most agile and most responsive car ever produced by Land Rover. The car will sit below the Discovery 4 and the Range Rover. It is expected that the deliveries for the Sport will start from the third quarter of this year. The UK bound Range Rover Sport comes in four variants - SE, HSE, HSE Dynamic and Autobiography, the car has been priced in the range of £51,550 (Rs 43.17 lakh) to £74,995 (Rs 62.80 lakh) depending on the type of model.

The new Range Rover Sport is packed with new technology, which presents customers with a more assured and muscular exterior, more luxurious interior and the flexibility of 5+2 seating. At the launch of Range Rover Sport, customers have a choice of three engine options - a 3.0 litre TDV6 that produces 255hp, 288hp 3.0-litre SDV6 burn diesel, and the 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine that is capable of producing a massive 503hp. All the three engines come equipped with a Start/Stop technology and linked with an eight-speed electronically controlled ZF 8HP70 automatic transmission as standard. 

Engine options are down to three. A 255hp 3.0 litre TDV6 and a 288hp 3.0 litre SDV6 burn diesel, while the petrol power comes from a 5.0 litre V8 engine rated at 503hp. All the three engines come with Stop/Start technology and an eight-speed electronically controlled ZF 8HP70 automatic transmission as standard features.

The entry level Range Rover Sport SE comes equipped with a self-leveling air suspension, power tailgate and Land Rover's Terrain Response System as standard. The HSE model comes loaded with all the afformentioned features, and additionally gets a bigger 20-inch wheels, fully electric front seats and rear camera. The top-of-the-line HSE Autobiography trim sports the premium Meridian audio system, adaptive cruise control, 21-inch alloy wheels, torque vectorin differential and automatic emergency brake assist.
