Ratan Tata meets dealers to spurt Nano sales

Not a good time for Tata Nano, we feel! If it was, then Ratan Tata wouldn’t have come out himself to boost up its sales figures. The chairman of Tata Motors, Mr. Ratan Tata has gone on board on a voyage of India, throughout which he will meet up with some selected dealers in the metros, small towns and non metro cities. On Thursday, Mr. Tata reached Nagpur. As per a car dealer in Nagpur, Mr. Ratan Tata was there to inspire and motivate the dealers and fulfilled his promise to meet the dealers, which he made in the past.

It is a known fact that Tata Motors is struggling a bit in touching its target in terms of Tata Nano sales. So to get things back on track, Mr. Ratan Tata has taken the charge in his own hands now. Reportedly, he will also meet up a dealer in Bijapur, which is a little town in Karnataka. Further, he will visit Guwahati and Lucknow too.

According to the reports, he not only met the dealers in Nagpur, but also interacted with few Tata Nano consumers. His main idea was to understand how well Tata Nano cars are doing and what are the reviews of the customers. It is being said that the dealers will continue to provide their constant marketing support to this small car.

If figures are taken into account, Tata Nano sales stumbled down to 3260 units in the month of July 2011 from 9000 units, which were recorded in July 2010. It is pretty clear that Tata Nano sales are not what were expected. Therefore, Mr. Ratan Tata took the initiative to boost up the morale of the dealers. The latest measure opted to amplify Tata Nano sales is to open up new outlets for Tata Nano in small towns.
