Renault’s new 400bhp mid-engined Alpine sports car will be soon launched in the Monaco and the car is being manufactured. There is only one picture available of this car, which was leaked on the internet. The A110-50 or the Alpine 110-50 is celebrating 50 years of its introduction which has won the inaugural World Rally Championship in the 1973 and is a legendary Renault engine sports car of sixties and seventies. The Renault Alpine was founded in 1955 by the French company who built the car with a succession of a lightweight sports car with the Renault engines. Before the car was abandoned in the 1990’s it won the Le Mans 24 Hours in1978 with the name of Renault added to it in the year 1970. Gordini was a rival of Alpine at the time of its introduction and till date.
But Gordini was reintroduced with a little bit of blue paint and a few graphics on the car’s exterior. Alpine is treated with much more respect because of its records and performance in the market. The concept of the car is not like the earlier version and it is much more reliable than the previous version. The car is already into production. A person working with the development of the car said that if the company is not able to bring out the car now, it will never be able to do it again. The company wants to make a proper race car without a Renault tag on it. The concept of the Alpine race car is based on the Renault sport Megane race car which has a tubular spaceframe with an 880 kg of kerb weight and 3.5 liter V6 wedged behind the driver which produces 400bhp power. There are speculations that the car may have an all-new platform with some repetition of the Megane RS’s 2.0 liter.
