Renault India aims high for diesel variant of Renault Fluence in Gujarat

After the partnership with Mahindra & Mahindra, Renault made its solo entry in the Indian Auto Market, with its brand new sedan, Renault Fluence. Renault India has priced Renault Fluence’s diesel version less than its petrol version. The cost of the diesel variant is approximately Rs. 12.99 Lakh, whereas the petrol variant of Renault Fluence will cost a whopping Rs. 14.4 Lakh. Renault India aims pretty high for the diesel variant of its super saloon Renault Fluence and expects to get around 80 to 85% of the sales in the state of Gujarat.

Gujarat is also considered amongst the states, which has high sales figures for diesel cars, which in turns gives Renault Fluence Sedan (diesel) a new hope to take over the automobile market there. Car aficionados in India are also speculating that French automobile manufacturer is looking forward to a monstrous 70% of the sales from the diesel version of Renault Fluence, whereas only 30% of the sales from the petrol variant of the sedan. According to the VP of Sales & Marketing of Renault India, Mr. Len Curran, Gujarat is one of the most flourishing and booming automobile market as far as the diesel cars are concerned.

And because of the same reason, Renault India is anticipating for around 80 to 85% of its sales from its diesel version in Gujarat. On the other hand, only 70% sales are expected from the entire nation for its diesel variant. Renault India expects that around 60% sales of the diesel version of Renault Fluence will account from the capital city Delhi. This French manufacturer also expects to touch a mark of 100,000 cars by the year of 2013.
