Renault India Registers 160% Domestic Growth in Sales of December 2015

The last quarter of 2015 has been quite successful for Renault in India. This can be attributed to the immensely successful, Renault Kwid. In December 2015, the French automaker registered a massive growth of 160%. It sold 10,292 units in December 2015 against 3,956 sold in December 2014. In the calendar year 2015, Renault managed to sell 53,847 unit, 20.1% more than 2014. Also, the company is growing at a fast pace in India and now has 200 sales and service facilities across the country. The current Renault India lineup consists of Fluence, Koleos, Pulse, Duster, Scala, Lodgy and Kwid. 

After Duster, Kwid is the only car which has been able to create an impact on market. Soon after its launch on September 24, 2015, the car gathered 25,000 bookings and by the end of October the numbers rose to a staggering 50,000. As a result, the waiting period for the car was extended up to 2 months. Continuing with its successful streak, Kwid had further helped Renault India to register 144% sales growth in November. A clutchless AMT and 1-litre variant of Kwid will be showcased at the upcoming Auto Expo.

Duster is largely popular with the SUV fanatics. The compact size and off-road capabilities of the AWD variant has allowed the SUV to win hearts all over the world. Also, a facelift of the SUV will be launched this year and showcased at the Auto Expo.
