Renault Koleos to launch by September end

The French automaker, Renault’s Indian subsidiary has its new Renault Koleos SUV launched slated towards the end of September, this year and the auto company has revealed the first details of the SUV in a website. The Koleos crossover is likely to be unveiled in the Frankfurt Motor show next month. The auto company has launched a website featuring both the Renault Fluence sedan and the upgraded Renault Koleos SUV to mark the impending launch of the Koleos soon. The new Koleos SUV is likely to take upon the potential rivals like Chevrolet Captiva , Toyota Fortuner and the Mitsubishi Outlander in the car market. The Renault Koleos price is likely to be placed around Rs 20 lakhs.

The Koleos SUV is expected to come with features like rear side mirrors along with LED indicators, Bose sound system, leather seats, cruise control and a four-wheel drive. The Renault Koleos specifications reveal that the SUV is likely to house a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder 14 valve DCi diesel engine that has the capacity to produce maximum power of 110 PS @ 4000 rpm and 320 Nm peak torque.

Renault India is headquartered in Mumbai had started its operations in India in 2005 and had launched its first car in India under its badge christened Renault Fluence in May 2011. However, Mahindra Renault Logan was introduced in India of which the upgraded version had been re-launched as Mahindra Verito, dropping out the Renault logo. Renault plans to launch three more cars in India after the launch of Renault Koleos, the company is keen to launch a small car in India, as Indian car market is overpowered by the hatchback segment.
