Renault Spy Case Takes A New Turn

In the month of January 2011, we heard Renault filing a case against three of its executives for stealing company secrets and revealing them to Chinese. The report was filed and now the case has taken a new turn when news reports are the entire case has been hyped up by the company without any strong reason.
In the month of January, Renault accused its three managers for leaking the company’s technological information related to upcoming electric car. The case has caught a lot of fire as the French Government is also taking interest in it. The accused managers have been continuously denying all the claims made by the French car maker and have also opted for legal support. The case has got a new turn where the news reports are claiming that Renault has fired one manager out of the three accused. Yet it is not sure that all of the three executives are fired or not. The upper management is not showing much interest in revealing deep details related t the case. And now even the Renault’s labor union is criticizing the company’s behavior.
The reports are saying that the company has nothing to show as the proof of this case and thus they are denying any disclosure of related matter. Addressing the issue, French Industry Minister Eric Besson, during an interview commented that Patrick Pelata, Renault's COO, has claimed that the company’s allegations are absolutely correct and serious and will resign the post in Renault if the allegation comes to be wrong. Besson also stated that it was a big mistake from French major to not to inform about the case to French intelligence agency DCRI before firing the three accused managers. The case will soon reveal many facts related to the issue. Investigation is going on to speed up the decision.
