Renault to launch three more cars by Dec 2012

Renault India has some more plans for the Indian car market in 2012, which comprise of few new launches, amplifying the production capacity at its plant in Chennai and opening new showrooms. The French auto giant has already launched its much awaited hatchback car, Renault Pulse and unveiled its crossover, Renault Duster that is expected to be launched during the festive season of Diwali in the Indian car market. According to certain reports, the MD of Renault India, Mr. Marc Nassif mentioned that Indian auto market is right now the priority for the company.
The firm is moving on with the plans to bring in about 3 more car models in India by December 2012. Renault Pulse is the third product by Renault. Therefore, three more Renault car models might come to India this year too. The Renault Pulse hatchback has been launched with the price tag ranging from Rs. 5.77 to Rs. 6.25 lakh. The diesel version of this hatchback will raise the benchmark in the premium compact car segment as it comes with ample of features and ensures better performance and safety as well.
On the other hand, Renault Duster would be launched during the festive season of 2012 and would be manufactured locally thereby making its price more competitive. The new Renault Duster will be made available in both petrol and diesel version. Besides introducing three new cars, the company is also planning on increasing the number of showrooms in the country. Renault India is considering taking the showroom number up to 100 by the end of 2012. Currently, Renault has around 35 exclusive retail showrooms.
