Coming back to Renault Eolab concept, the model will make its debut at the Paris Motor Show. The Eolab is three door concept with drag coefficient of 0.235. The exterior profile embraces an active front spoiler, active rear flaps and active wheels with an active suspension which automatically adjusts the ride height to minimize drag. The car weighs 400kg thanks to magnesium roof, ultra-thin windscreen glass and a lightweight interior. Eolab is powered by Z.E. Hybrid powertrain that consists of a 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, a 6.7 kWh battery and a clutch-less three-gear transmission with an integrated electric motor. The car develops a maximum power of 67.1bhp and peak torque of 200Nm.
With an all electric range of 60kms, the concept delivers a fuel economy of 100kmpl. Moreover, the sad news is that Eolab is not pushed to production as Renault says concept has "100 new and realistic technological developments that are designed to be introduced gradually on upcoming Renault vehicles."
