After making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II today made its entry to the Indian market. At a starting price of INR 4.50 Crore (ex-showroom pan India), the ultra-premium offering comes with several subtle changes inside-out.
The most prominent change on the outside comes in the form of rectangular LED headlamps with daytime-running lights, which replaces the earlier round unit. It also gets restyled bumpers, a new bonnet, refreshed tail-lights and the air intakes upfront get some chrome surrounds. There are also 21-inch alloys along with new paint shades to choose from.
While on the inside, it gets improved seats with enhanced electronic adjustments and heating options. The rear seats are now offered in various seating positions. Other cabin modifications include revised instruments, two new wood veneers, revamped on board Wi-Fi aided infotainment system, a new 10-inch multimedia screen along with a touchpad controller for infotainment.
Under the hood is the same 6.6-litre V12 engine which churns out a whopping 563bhp and 780Nm of peak torque. The unit comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, and enables the Ghost Series II to hit a top speed of 250km/h (electronically limited) and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds.
The car will be retailed through company's five dealerships operating currently across the country. Though it has plans to expand its dealership network in the years to come.
