Tata had launched its sedan— the Manza— in October 2009 that was based on the Vista platform. It has now been three years since its launch and Tata Motors will now give it a mid-life treatment. In 2011, a new variant of the Manza called as Elan was introduced. This was the new range topper that had all the bells and whistles like alloys, dual-tone interiors and other goodies. This time around the Manza facelift will be cosmetic, most of which will be on the inside.
The interiors will get a different shade for all the materials used and the changed music system will come along. It is likely to get a touch screen system and also some updates to differentiate it from the Vista interiors. We believe Tata will also rename the variants to LX, VX and ZX to create uniformity for all its products. We expect the new cars to hit the showrooms by September or around the festive season. Earlier, the plans were to launch it by June, but due to some unknown reasons, it was pushed back.
Check this space for more updates on the same. Cheers!
